It shall be the duty of the planning board to hold public hearings where necessary and make recommendations to the city council on all matters concerning or relating to the creation of zoning districts, the boundaries thereof, the appropriate regulations to be enforced therein, the amendments of this title, and any other matter within the scope of zoning power. The planning board shall make recommendations and an annual report to any governing bodies represented on the board concerning the operation of the board and the status of planning within the jurisdiction (M.C.A. 76-1-305 [4]). The planning board is also authorized to confer with and advise other city, county, regional, or state planning or zoning commissions. (Ord. 523 § 1(part), 1989)
