13.04.120 Temporary service.

A. Meter Required. A meter, approved by the utility, shall be used in conjunction with a temporary use if at all practical to do so. If a meter is used the charge for the temporary water used shall based on the rate for metered service. If a meter is not used, a special contract shall be created and a deposit may be collected prior to use.
B. Means of Supply. Water may be supplied as a temporary service through a temporary piping hookup or from a hydrant or spigot. Temporary service from a fire hydrant shall be intermittent for the purpose of providing water to a detached tank, such connections shall use approved fire hose connections installed in such a manner that can be quickly removed with standard fire hose tools.
C. Approved Temporary Uses. Temporary service is allowed for uses such as a circus, bazaars, fairs, construction work, irrigation of vacant property, emergency water needs, and similar uses, that due to their nature, will not be used permanently. (Ord. 653 § 1(part), 2004)
