Chapter 12.24 SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS
12.24.010 Assessment of costs-Schedule.
Fees and reimbursement of costs shall be charged by the city
in connection with the formation of each improvement district in accordance with
the following schedule:
A. For all expenses and charges in connection with the
administrative work of the city clerk and the city treasurer there shall be
charged a fee in the amount of one percent of the total amount of the special
improvement district which amount shall be in reimbursement to the city for the
work of such officers. To the extent that either the city clerk or the city
treasurer are obliged to work at other than regular work hours upon the special
improvement district such officers shall be reimbursed by the city from such
moneys at the rate of twenty dollars per hour.
B. For all expenses and charges of the director of public
works of the city in connection with such special improvement district the city
shall be reimbursed at the rate of twenty-five dollars per hour for each hour of
professional services furnished by the city engineer in connection with such
special improvement district. If the director of public works shall be required
to furnish his professional services other than his regular hours of employment,
he shall be reimbursed from the city from the funds of the special improvement
district at the rate of twenty-five dollars per hour.
C. For the services of the city attorney all services
furnished by him in connection with the special improvement district, he shall
be reimbursed directly by the special improvement district as follows:
Three percent of the first fifty thousand dollars of the
total cost of the improvements, and one percent of the cost of improvements
above fifty thousand dollars. (Ord. 399 § 1, 1981)
