When any sidewalk or curb is constructed by or under the direction of the city council, payment for the construction thereof shall be made by special warrant, which shall be in substantially the following form:

Special Sidewalk and Curb Fund Warrant

Columbia Falls, Montana.

Warrant No._____

The City of Columbia Falls, Montana, will pay to _______________ Contractors or bearer, out of any money in the Treasury belonging to the Special Sidewalk and Curb Fund the sum of __________ Dollars ($_____) on account of sidewalks and curbs constructed in the City.

This warrant is issued under an act of the Legislative Assembly of 1921, Revised Codes of the State of Montana, entitled "An Act relative to Special Improvement Districts in Cities and Towns, etc.", and acts amendatory thereof and supplementary thereto and under resolutions and ordinances of said City relating to sidewalks and curbs.

The principal and interest of this warrant are payable at the Office of the Treasurer of the City of Columbia Falls, Montana. This warrant bears interest at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum from the date of its registration as expressed hereon until date called for its redemption by the Treasurer. The interest on this warrant is payable on the first day of January of each year until payment of this warrant as expressed by the interest coupons attached hereto.

This warrant is payable from the collection of a special tax or assessment and is redeemable at the option of the City of Columbia Falls, Montana, at any time there is money to the credit of said Sidewalk and Curb Fund for the redemption thereof, and in the manner provided for the redemption of the same. The holder of this warrant shall have no claim therefor against said City in any event except from the collection of special assessments made to defray the costs of sidewalks and curbs for which this warrant is issued, but his remedy in case of nonpayment shall be confined to enforcement of such assessments.

IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED AND RECITED that all acts and things required to be done precedent to the issuance of this warrant has been done, happened and performed in the manner described by the laws of the State of Montana, relating to the issuance thereof, and the interest coupons hereto attached are signed with the facsimile signatures of the Mayor and Clerk
