Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, the court may, in its discretion, suspend the execution of any sentence imposed under Section 10.45.040 on the condition that the defendant successfully complete a course in a driven improvement school approved by the court of an alcohol treatment program approved by the department of institutions. Each school on institution providing such education on treatment, shall notify the court that the defendant has been accepted by the school or treatment program. If the defendant fails to attend the school or the treatment program, the school or institution shall notify the court of the failure. (Ord. 357 § 4, 1978)
