Chapter 9.16 OFFENSES AGAINST PUBLIC PEACE
9.16.060 On school grounds.
Every person who, not being a student, or not being a
teacher, school administrator, or employee at such school, or not being at such
school at the invitation of a teacher, school administrator, or employee of such
school, shall loiter upon any school grounds, including any school parking lot
at any time when such school is in regular or special session or one hour before
or one hour after such regular or special session, and who fails promptly to
leave such school grounds after being requested to do so by a police officer, a
teacher at such school, or the principal or vice principal at such school, or
who shall fail to remain away from such school grounds after having left the
school grounds pursuant to such request, shall be guilty of the offense of
vagrancy, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by fine of not more than
three hundred dollars, or imprisonment of not more than ninety days, or by both
such fine and imprisonment. (Ord. 291 § 2, 1971)
