5.20.010 Door-to-door sales declared a nuisance.

The practice of going in and upon private residences and private property in the city by solicitors, peddlers, vendors, salesmen, sales agents and representatives, or any other persons, not having been requested or invited to do so by the owner or owners, occupant or occupants or the private residences, for the purpose of selling, soliciting for the sale of, advertising for the sale of, demonstrating or exposition or explanation of any goods, wares, merchandise, contract rights, or salable articles or subjects, tangible or intangible, is declared to be a nuisance and punishable as such as a misdemeanor.
