A. Effective July 1, 1992, the police officers of the city police department shall participate in and be subject to the statewide Municipal Police Officers’ Retirement System as provided for in Sections 19-9-101, et seq., MCA.

B. Effective July 1, 1992, the city shall terminate its local police officers’ retirement system, and all cash and securities held in the local retirement fund shall be deposited as soon as possible with the Public Employees’ Retirement Board as specified in Section 19-9-107(1), MCA (1991).
