The street maintenance and public works equipment superintendent, subject to the charge and supervision of the manager, shall administer, schedule and coordinate the maintenance of all city streets and rights-of-way, including clearing, snow removal, overlaying and patching of streets; coordinate with the sewer/water superintendent the scheduling of equipment and manpower for the purpose of maintenance and improvements to the city’s parks and other public property; supervise as requested any repairs, maintenance and improvements to city facilities, including city hall; operate, maintain, repair and purchase as needed any equipment necessary to carry out the city’s public works functions; and, perform other functions requested by the manager and described by position description.
