2.16.010 Officers of the city.

The officers of the city shall consist of: all elected officials; the city manager, who shall be appointed by the city council; the city attorney, who shall be appointed by the mayor, with the advice and consent of the city council; and the city judge, who shall be appointed by the council. The city manager shall appoint a chief of police and fire chief, both with confirmation by the city council. The city manager may appoint a director of finance and administration, a city engineer, a sewer and water superintendent, a street maintenance and public works equipment superintendent, and a parks and pool superintendent upon approval of a budget by the city council.
